Damian Drum calls for applications for the Building Better Regions Fund
Specific funding available for investment-ready projects in the Murray electorate.
The Building Better Regions Fund is federal scheme worth $297.7m.
Federal Member for Murray, Damian Drum MP, is encouraging community groups and local councils to apply for funding from the Coalition Government’s Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).
The $297.7m federal scheme assists in funding one-off events and activities to help create jobs and stimulate economic growth across Australia’s rural, regional and remote communities, including the Murray electorate.
‘This is an exciting opportunity for local groups and local governments in the Murray electorate to apply for funding for new or expanded events and activities,’ Mr Drum said. ‘This scheme will assist in creating jobs and stimulating our local economy.’
Applicants to the BBRF will need demonstrate how their proposed event or activity will generate economic and social benefits in the Murray electorate, as well as explaining the project’s value for money and how it will be delivered.
‘When applying for funding, please ensure your project is investment-ready and in the final stages of planning,’ Mr Drum said. ‘Proposals need to demonstrate broad support from the community and industry’.
There are two streams of funding available, both with different closing dates:
Infrastructure Project Stream – applications close on Tuesday 28 February 2017
Community Investments Stream – applications close on Friday 31 March 2017
