Damian Drum Listening Post at Shepparton Market Place
This Friday 25 May, the people of Shepparton will have the opportunity to have one on one time with the local Federal Member for Murray, the Hon Damian Drum at a Listening Post at the Shepparton Market Place.
Mr Drum said that locals deserve to have their opinions heard and questions answered. After a Federal Budget people want clarity on what has been announced and what the Budget means for them and their family.
“There is sometimes uncertainty as to what the Budget means for the average Australian. By getting into our communities I aim to clarify the issues raised,” Mr Drum said.
“This provides an opportunity for me to speak with the people in Shepparton and hear about their concerns and then assist in any way I can. This Friday will also be in the middle of a parliamentary sitting fortnight, which means I can talk about our parliamentary process and take suggestions back to the parliament on Monday.
Mr Drum will be set up in the Shepparton Market Place from 12:30 onwards and is inviting everyone to come and say hello.
“It is important that the community has access to their federal parliamentary representative. I was elected to represent the people of the Murray electorate and the best way I can do that is by speaking with the people who elected me.
“I am encouraging people to come along to the Listening Post have a chat or just say g’day,” Mr Drum said.
