Damian Drum thanks teachers and parents as children go back to school
Federal Member for Murray, Damian Drum MP, is wishing school children across the Murray electorate the ‘best of luck’ as they head back to school this week.
‘Many children across the Murray electorate will be starting school for the first time,’ Mr Drum said. ‘I encourage these pupils to give school their best shot and urge them to stay safe on their way to school.’
Mr Drum has also acknowledged the important role parents and carers play in organising the busy lives of their children.
‘Sending your kids back to school after the long Christmas holidays really tugs on the heart strings,’ Mr Drum said. ‘But it’s a good opportunity for parents to give their children a structured, daily routine. I want to recognise all the parents across my electorate who work so hard to get their kids to school each day.’
Teachers in our region should also be commended for their hard work, Mr Drum added.
‘I would like to thank in advance the school teachers across the Murray electorate for their dedication this year,’ Mr Drum said. ‘Teachers and support staff play a vital role in shaping the lives of our young people. Parents can be rest assured that their kids will come home a little bit smarter each day, because of our teachers, school librarians and principals.’
