Aged Care Approval Round Funding
Damian has visited a number of aged care facilities to congratulate them on their success getting new aged care beds. There will be 97 new aged care beds across the whole electorate, as well as a total of $3.9 million in capital grants.

Damian commemorates ANZAC Day 2017 in the Murray electorate
Damian has commemorated ANZAC Day attending a number of ceremonies in the electorate including the Dawn Service in Shepparton. Damian is pictured with School Captains of Wanganui Park Secondary College Phoebe and Dino at the Wreath Laying Ceremony in Shepparton; and below the Commemorative Service at Nathalia in the afternoon.

Damian unveils new flagpole in Murchison
Damian visited Murchison recently (April 2017) to unveil the new flagpole generously donated by the Murchison Post Office. Damian is pictured alongside Vietnam Veteran Bill Saunders, Damien Colbert and President of the Murchison RSL sub branch Doug Messer; and below Di and Damien Colbert from Murchison Post Office.
Damian visits Nagambie Primary School
Damian visited Nagambie Primary School (April 2017) and met Harry, Ben, Tiffany and Lexie (pictured below). They are great leaders for the school and their classmates.
Damian launches the Shepparton Villages Giving Tree Appeal
Damian recently launched the Shepparton Villages Giving Tree Appeal (April 2017) and witnessed the founding fathers Keppel Turnour OAM and Lance Woodhouse OAM turn the first sod on the $34m, 120 bed aged care development. Damian is pictured below with Kerri Rivett, CEO Shepparton Villages.
Damian visits Shepparton High School
Damian spoke to Year 10 students at Shepparton High School about the importance of further education (March 2017). Together they took the Beacon Foundation pledge to continue our learning after school. Helping the Euroa Citizens Band
The Coalition Government is giving a helping hand to the Euroa Citizens Band. Damian announced $5,700 for the band to buy new equipment under the Stronger Communities Programme. This picture was taken in March 2017, outside the Euroa Memorial Hall with John Dunn (saxophone and conductor), Jean Duff (trumpet), Chris Day (conductor) and Helen Barton (euphonium).
Meeting Stella Ferguson, aged 104
Stella Ferguson from Euroa is a living legend. She will celebrate her 105th birthday next month. Damian caught up with Stella, her daughter Helen Burns and her niece Joyce White in March 2017.
Update from Euroa 'Friendlies' Oval Committee
Damian met with Peter Morley and Rob Asquith from the 'Friendlies' Oval Committee in March 2017. They are leading a push to redevelop the local oval for 5 different uses.
Euroa Memorial Oval Committee
Damian congratulated the Euroa Memorial Oval Committee on their 80 new solar panels in March 2017. The Federal Government matched the community contribution of $10,000.
Announcing funding for Balmattum Rest Area - Hume Freeway
Road safety is so important for our truckies. In March 2017, Damian unveiled $1.5 million in state and federal funding for the upgrade of Balmattum Rest Area with Steph Ryan for Euroa and Mario from Gattuso Transport.
Funding for CLRS Echuca
Damian announced $350,000 in funding for the Community Living & Respite Services Inc. Opening Doors Project in Echuca (March 2017).

Funding for Sacred Heart Primary School Yarrawonga
Damian announced $1 million in funding for Sacred Heart Primary School Yarrawonga in March 2017. By the beginning of next year, the Year 5's and 6's will have their own Leadership Centre.
Damian Drum visits Murray Goulburn processing factory in Cobram
Mr Drum inspected the latest technology being used by Murray Goulburn to process milk in Cobram in March 2017.
Visiting Shepparton East Primary School
Damian Drum congratulated all the new leaders at Shepparton East Primary School in a speech to the school assembly. Well done school captains Jasmine Lowe and Jamie Willaton and vice captains Eliza Bester and Jaiden Heinzmann.
Damian Drum named Nationals Chief Whip
Damian Drum was named Chief Whip of the National Party on 2nd March 2017, following a party room meeting at Parliament House.
Review into Regional Education
I was proud to be with the Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce when he announced a review into regional education outcomes to ensure kids from the bush aren't left behind. This photo was taken in the Senate Courtyard of Parliament House in March 2017.

The Year 5 and 6 students from Toolamba Primary School visited Damian Drum in Parliament House in March 2017.
A Parliamentary visit from Shepparton RSL
Damian was joined by Bob Wilkie, the Shepparton RSL President, along with Wendy Wilkie, Julie and Frank Devries in March 2017 at Parliament House, Canberra.
Rising energy costs the focus of Minister’s visit
The Minister for Resources and Northern Australia, Senator Matt Canavan, has toured the Murray electorate, visiting several prominent businesses hit by soaring gas prices (February 2017).
The Minister visited four major employers in our region following an invitation from the Federal Member for Murray, Damian Drum.

Coalition Government hands over $97m to Victorian Government for New Echuca Moama Bridge
Damian Drum says the Liberal National Commonwealth Government has signed over $97m in funding to the Victorian Government for the construction of a new Echuca Moama Bridge (February 2017).
Wanganui Park Secondary College
Congratulations to the new captains and vice captains of Wanganui Park Secondary College. Phoebe Gale, Dino Nicolopoulos, Izzy Treacy and Jack McKindley received their badges in February 2017.
Catch Up with Amelia Morris
In February 2017, Damian caught up with Euroa Secondary College Year 12 student Amelia Morris in my Canberra office. Amelia is studying Global Politics and Australian Politics. Damian was delighted to discuss politics with her and give her a tour of Parliament House.

BMX National Series
Damian was out at the Shepparton BMX Track on Sunday 5th February 2017. I was so pleased to see Round 2 of the BMX National Series being held in the GV!
Catch Up with Shepparton's Ally Elder
In early February 2017, Damian caught up with Shepparton's Ally Elder, who's studying global politics for her VCE. He met Ally at the Remembrance Day 2016 ceremony in Shepparton where she read out a poem. She's an impressive local doing great things!
Australia Day 2017
Damian has some fantastic memories from Australia Day 2017. He enjoyed catching up with Betty Shields and her friends at Mooroopna. Betty (pictured below left) was a good friend of my mother.
It was a perfect summer's day in Mooroopna. Damian caught up with Greater Shepparton City Councillor Seema Abdullah and MC Murray Shields.
McGrath Breast Care Announcement
In January 2017, Damian announced on-going funding had been secured for the McGrath Breast Care Nurse at GV Health in Shepparton and the McGrath Breast Care Nurse at GV Health in Benalla.
