Progress made on the Echuca-Moama Bridge

Stage 1 of the Echuca-Moama Bridge build has now been completed with stage 2 works underway.

Federal Member for Murray, the Hon Damian Drum MP said that it was great to see progress on this important project for Echuca-Moama, Northern Victoria and Southern NSW.

“The Echuca-Moama Bridge project is the largest infrastructure project in northern Victoria and it has been a long time coming for residents of Echuca. Today is another important step forward for locals,” Mr Drum said.

“Today marks the completion of major works on Stage 1 (Warren Street Roundabout) and the start of work on Stage 2 (Warren Street Upgrade).”

“The Federal Government has invested more than $826 million towards transport infrastructure projects across the electorate of Murray and surrounding regions, including the $97 million towards this project,” Mr Drum said.

At least 400 direct jobs and over 1,000 indirect jobs are being supported during the Echuca-Moama Bridge project construction phase.

“This is an exciting project that will make real differences for locals. I cannot wait to be back here in 3 years to see the finished project in 2021,” Mr Drum said.
